# Form Labs

### How it works in a nutshell

The bottom of the printer is filled with a photoreactive resin. A build platform is lowered until it almost touches the bottom of the tray. An intense light is shown in specific areas to create a layer (pew pew pew). The tray then raises, a wiper levels the resin and then the proces is repeated, 100s of times.

### To start a print, you first need a 3D model

Like all 3D printers you need a model, and the model will get sliced and then printed out, however unlike a normal 3D print, we will not generate gcode
